Changing the Scenery…

Things have been a little quiet here lately … because we’ve been working on all the details of moving house!

Yes, we are moving back to the country!
I cannot WAIT to hear let the girls run through the fields, climb trees, explore, hear the crickets at night, see the fireflies glow in the summer evening, have our own chickens living in our yard, and stretch out in our new {old} country home … there’s room enough for grandchildren in this house … I kind of hope we never have to move again but only time will tell …

It’s been a long time coming. Well, it feels like to us, anyways. Every day, we prayed that – if it was the Lord’s will – we would move to the country. And now, in 29 DAYS …ย  we are moving!

We have always loved this house that we currently live in – and when we moved here, with just two little girls, we thought we would be here for a long time. God had different plans and before we knew it, five girls bouncing around in our backyard, climbing our tiny trees was sure sign (among others) that it was time to move back where they would have more room to roam. We don’t regret moving to town and living in the Rowan House (our current home) and we are so grateful for the six years we have been calling this house our home.

But now it’s time to move on! And quickly …

How DOES one pack a house in 29 days?

It means it is crazy busy here, with boxes piled up to the ceiling, five girls excited and hyper (as I’m bribing, I mean, paying, them with mini chocolates with each box packed), takeout pizzas for dinner and struggling to stay on top of things.

There are things we have to do to the house right away … fixing up, handyman things, some heating issues, you know – man-type jobs …

But it is ALL worth it … we are excited … to make this our new home for our family!

Cassandra Wow… so breathtaking. ๐Ÿ™‚ We moved to the country 3 years ago and have never looked back. We are IN LOVE with our tiny 900 square foot late 1800s house. You’re going to love the tranquil setting for the girls. Nothing beats being away from the city… I could never go back! xo
