As a former journalist-turned-professional-photographer, this blog started off as an expression of my love for writing and photography. It has, through the years, has merged into a blog about my daily life with six Little Women & two (now, three!) Little Men, being the wife to an Undertaker, homeschooling our children, living life in our old farmhouse in the country, canning our food from the garden, chasing chickens and cooking all our meals in an old fashioned cookstove.
My focus was once mostly photography but now, after a few years of heart change and soul searching, the Lord has shown me how wonderful it is to be a stay at home mom to my children and a helpmate to my husband, to delight in the normal, regular happenings of everyday, often messy, mostly fun, life. It is a humble yet holy calling.
Perhaps in some tiny way, this blog will be an encouragement to you – as a young woman, a future mom, a photographer – to see the beauty God has scattered in every day and treasure the moments as they happen.
If you drop by, you will no doubt find a pot of tea brewing, clean laundry drying on the line, some chickens scratching in the garden, perhaps a few geese wandering about — and lots of children playing all around.
