Tiny Brothers

When Lazer (as he is affectionately called) joined our family in December 2015, it was such a surprise. After having six girls in a row, I never imagined we would have a boy. Now, we have two little men in our lives!

And it couldn’t be sweeter. Truth be told, I was afraid to have boys {why? I guess because I was so used to having girls} – but God knew we needed these little men and our hearts have grown to adore these tiny brothers.

We are having fun getting used to our new family size, theΒ  changing dynamics and the new loosely-followed schedule. My husband started laughing the other day … I turned to him and asked him what he was laughing at …

He looked at me, his eyes twinkling, and said, “How did we end up with so many children?!”

One year at a time, I guess … πŸ™‚ … our large family was not planned and it was not unplanned. It is God’s doing, truly. Grateful to be on this incredible journey with these children of ours!

Gigi Katy, thank you for always being so encouraging.
I have a friend with the same story as yours, although they were able to reverse their decision and God blessed them with three more children. I know this topic is very private and sensitive to many – I do not think, by any means, that having more children makes one holier or closer to God. I do know, however, that He looks at His Lambs as blessings and therefore, I choose to do the same. Your decision to help your friends and mothers is beautiful and shows a servant’s heart.

Katy Lovely photos! πŸ™‚ Your boys are adorable! I love that God is in control of your family size! My husband and I decided we were done after three children (we were still really young) and now regret it. πŸ™ I always encourage every couple not to do anything permanent because they *will* regret it. I try to be content with it though and let the Lord use me to help other mamas with littles. My children are 16, 14 and 11 now so and are more independent. We homeschool as well but they do a lot of things on their own….that enables me to get my housework done and then have time to help a friend of mine who has many littles (she reminds me of you…as she and her husband are having as many children as they Lord gives them. They also adopted two girls ages 12 and 7 from foster care.)So it is a blessing to know that the Lord is using me in other ways despite our mistake many years ago (when my husband had a vasectomy).

It is truly a blessing to watch your family grow and hear about your days! Thank you for sharing with us! :o)
Warmly,
Katy

Rebecca Oh my gosh what cuties!!!! I would love to hear how you came to the decision to have a large family. I enjoy hearing other families stories who decided to go against the norm of 2 or less children πŸ™‚
