Looms for Love {Arrived!}

“Not all of us can do great things.
But we can do small things with great love.”
-Mother Teresa

This morning, the sweetest email arrived in my inbox that made a heart burst with joy!

Do you remember our Looms for Love project? Perhaps you or your child helped take part in creating the bracelets? If so, you will truly love these images that were delivered to my inbox  …

Get ready to smile. 🙂

{Ohhh, these children are just so precious!}

Months earlier, my girls and several friends from near and far, spent beautiful hours making Rainbow Loom bracelets for the children in Heather & Rick’s Orphan care program …. the girls started up a project – called Looms of Love  to send their bracelets overseas to bless children in Africa.

It was a simple gesture. Nothing fancy, but fueled by the desire to show God’s love in a childlike way … the girls asked as many friends as they could to help create brightly colored bracelets for these sweet children in Mozambique … in no time at all,  we received packages of completed loom bracelets, bracelet supplies, the rubber bands and letters of encouragement from so many wonderful adults and children.  After a few months, all the bracelets were collected and we shipped them off to Africa.

Now,  these fantastic, delightful bracelets have been handed out to hundreds of {beautiful} children in Mozambique through Rick & Heather’s Orphan Care program …. how exciting it was for my daughters to see these images of the children across the ocean wearing the bracelets we had sent months ago! We were so excited to share them with the other children who helped make the bracelets now worn on the wrists of hundreds of children in a small remote village …

A simple little act of love from across the Globe … to tell these precious children we think of them and we pray for them. That they are precious in God’s sight.

With joy, the girls, Abby and I poured over these beautiful images that were sent from our missionary friends…. the photos brought tears to my eyes and as I watched my girls’ reactions to the images, I knew their hearts were touched immensely.

Thank you to ALL the amazing children here in Canada who helped out by making bracelets and sending them along in the package! We appreciate your help so very much!

Thank you, Heather, for sending through the photos so we can share them with the children who helped out – we can’t wait to do more!

P.S.
Children and parents, would you be interested in doing another Looms of Love project together in the future? I’ll be praying to God and seeking His will for this!

Heather What did you do to these pictures?? I am positive you have made them look amazing! I just sent you some snapshots and these look awesome! 🙂 Thank you so much to all who participated- these little bracelets brought an awful lot of smiles to literally HUNDREDS of kids. Well over 300 children received bracelets, and as you can see, a few grannies as well. (the grannies loved them just as much as the kids) 🙂
