Yesterday I was chatting with a client and friend of mine who said “Your life is like a fairytale! It’s so perfect!” and I had to quickly explain, um, NO, it is not perfect and I *do* have terrible, awful days, I break out, my husband works late hours and holidays, my kids are early risers and I stay up till 2 a.m. some nights editing … BUT I just don’t blog about some of that stuff because it can be, well, depressing! 😉
But I do have to admit something – a ridiculously  embarassing moment as a woman happened to me a few days ago and I’m still scarred from it …. something that would NEVER happen in a fairytale.
And I know you will all relate … or, come to think of it, maybe not. Maybe I am alone out there in the world of {OH MY GOSH, I am so embarrassed!} moments … I debated writing this on the blog, but c’mon. It’s real life.
So my grandma, my dear, sweet beautiful Grandma was visiting my family last week from British Columbia (she happens to be my favorite grandma ever AND she is moving to Orangeville this fall! Very excited about that!) and while chatting one day, the topic of boobs/breasts/whatever you want to call them came up … I was not “blessed” like my mother, sister or my Grandma in that area … so Grandma showed me an old exercise that one can do to make your breasts, *ahem*, Â firmer …
You know the one. ….Â
“I must, I must, I must increase my bust …….”
Yeah, that one. Â I was impressed with such an idea of, well, increasing my bust – especially after three children .. yes, ladies, you konw what I am talking about.Â
Later that day, I was out driving doing errands when I stopped at stop light and looked to my left to see my reflection – neck down – in my car window. Hmmmm …. my hands were on the steering wheel… a few seconds of nothing to do … why not try out this amazing exercise Grandma had shown me?
So I did. Yup. Picture it now. Looking sideways to the left, watching the reflection in the car window to make sure I was doing it properly … “I must, I must, I must increase my bust ….” It was an intense workout, ladies.
There, I thought. That was easy enough. No sweat.
Not really …. until I looked up, past my car window, over to the next lane …. where to my ABSOLUTE horror was a work van, stopped parallel with my car, and through the their tinted windows I could see a van FULL of about 11 construction workers who were, of course, staring at me the entire exercise ritual. Only now, they were no longer staring. No, they were laughing hysterically. At me. At my exercise.
Oh. MY. GOSH.
And the light was still red. SCREEEAMMMM! I couldn’t go anywhere. I couldn’t hide. I couldn’t look at them. I didn’t even have any kids in the car to turn around and talk to.Â
I nearly died …
Â
And as soon as that light turned from red to green, I high tailed it out of there as fast as I could manage ….Â
Note to self: Next vehicle requires TINTED windows. Thankyouverymuch.Â
Speaking of which, we are on the lookout as a family for a bigger vehicle. I currently drive a five seater Rav4 – and while it’s lovely and fantastic, it just doesn’t cut it for space. So we are searching for something … something that will suit our family and our needs.Â
This is my hubby’s pick:Â
Manly. Rough. Rugged. Roomy.
Â
This is my pick:
Fun. Fresh. Fantastic.Â
Â
And yes, I am being serious. Can you picture a license plate that says “Gigimobile”?! Seriously!
Think I can convince him?! I would want to paint it pink or incorporate pink somewhere on the vehicle … hee hee …Â
Â
Speaking of roomy vehicles, I am off to visit a friend who just gave birth to her seventh baby … yeahhh! How fun is that?!Â
But before I go, Â I will post some more fun Trash the Dress shots of Jenny – we had such a blast doing this session!
Â
Green is her favorite colour. Sweet.Â
Â
Â
I have been having SO much fun with these Trash the Dress sessions – so to make it MORE fun – the next person who e-mails me and book a Trash the Dress session will receive a complimentary 11×14 print of their choice from their session.
Â
Go get that dress out of your closet and e-mail me! Let’s have some FUNNNNN!
