And He Shall be Called …

The snow is falling outside.
The afternoon sun is slowly setting.
Only the sounds of children coloring and listening to an audio adventure at the kitchen table can be heard.
We have just finished our {simple} daily Christmas craft that we are doing this Christmas season …

Studying the many names of Jesus. 25 names for the 25 days leading up to Christmas Day.
I’m so thankful for this opportunity to be with my daughters and learning and growing together.

It seems all too easy to lose focus at Christmas – especially as mothers –  to get caught up in the whirlwind that is presents, purchasing, socializing and parade watching. When it’s really such a simple season. For Christians, it’s a time to remember the birth of Jesus. To show His love to others. If we fail to teach our children this, then, as parents, we are ignore the most important aspect of the season.

It has been so lovely to feel a tiny bit secluded from all the needless noise of, what could possibly become a very busy, overbooked season.
Instead of fussing too much about details that may only clutter up our reason for celebrating, we have been quiet.
Mostly at home. Working on our homemade gifts. Schooling.  Christmas carol playing. And learning about Jesus’ wonderful names.

I pray your season is quiet and yet full of the most important aspect.

P.S. It’s not too late to start – finish up your Christmas season with this very easy, free, printable craft and devotion. They go hand in hand. Perfect for your children – and you.
