Somehow in the wonderfulness of regular day life, my third daughter and Sweet Pea, Lucia, turned four. Like most moms, I feel like she was just born and yet it also feels like our family was never complete without her! I looked back through our photos to the day she was born and was so happy and surprised to see so many wonderful memories and moments in her short lifetime already.
We threw her a Cinderella party to celebrate her day … and I think she thoroughly was happy with everything! I toyed with the idea of just doing our own family party (just a homemade cake, dinner out, etc.) because, as I’m sure you can relate, throwing parties all the time for lots of kids can be exhausting and expensive. And yet, I felt a little bit … bad … that Lucia would turn four and have the date slip quietly by. So quickly, with the Christmas rush aside, I planned her a special day. And I’m *SO* glad I did. It’s a BLESSING to set aside a day and celebrate your child! It really is! And it won’t matter how many kids I have – each one is SUPER AMAZINGLY special in their own way.
Happy birthday, Sweet Pea Lucia! You have filled our hearts with joy and even more pink!
Can you believe how cute her cake is? Thanks to my BFF, Leanne, who made it for us … amazingly talented! She also made these adorable cake pops – the kids were head over heels for these. 🙂
Her sweet four-year-old portrait displayed so lovely in a Sweet Soda Frame …
Lots of candy ….
Where the guests dined …
All four of my princesses …
Favors for the guests – sparkly Cinderella shoe soaps (handmade by ESYS) and these lovely tags were handmade by Amanda Moore of Stampin’ Creations …
Sparkly shoes for each little girl, as well …
Oh, and jewels and crowns for the guests, as well!
The girls made Cinderella-pearl necklaces (like the one in the movie) …
Making a wish and blowing out the candles …{thanks, Heather, for taking the photo!}
Four. Amazing!!
Her Cinderella necklace from mommy & daddy …
I think Lucia was properly spoiled and felt loved on her birthday – 🙂
and last but not least – her official four year old portrait … done in somewhat of a snow storm at the most gorgeous location …
Happy birthday, Lucia Marie! xo
