Well ……… last night, it was my turn to take the camera and shoot some photos of my BFF, Stacy, and her two sweet kids. And so we did it again – we braved those Texan farmer’s fields all in the pursuit of beautiful photographs.
You would’ve died seeing us, walk thorugh the field, yelling “GO SNAKES, GO away!!!! I don’t want to be eaten today!” Seriously. That is what I was yelling.
I know. I’m crazy.
Stacy told me that if I made a lot of noise, the snakes would probably leave us alone. Little did I know, I was approaching the possibility of a snake bed- no, not rattlesnakes – but … wait for it! …. copperheads! Oh yeahhhhh. And without thinking, I wore flip flops and a skirt. Not smart. With every gingerly placed footstep crunching down in the three feet-grass, I would cringe and pray. But there was no stopping us – I was determined to get to this rusty old truck in the middle of the field …
Thankfully, I did NOT see a snake … but let me tell you, I ran back from the field as fast as I could when we were done!

And for all of you wondering where LUCIA was during all of this (especially with the nasty threats of copperheads around!), she was tucked safely in her stroller. Stacy and I looked over during part of the shoot and there was Jasper, working his magic with his momma’s camera. We both sighed in adoration.

What fun we’re having in Texas! I am sooooo sad to leave tomorrow – but I am anxious to see my girlies back home …
