She said, ‘Oh, my lord! As your soul lives, my lord, I am the woman who stood here beside you, praying to the LORD.
“For this {child} I prayed, and the LORD has given me my petition which I asked of Him.
So I have also dedicated him to the LORD; as long as he lives he is dedicated to the LORD’

This past Sunday, in the cold of the winter, our house was filled with twinkling lights, pretty lavender colored bunting, purple and violet colored cake, loved family and one darling baby … we dedicated Lavender Kate Delight to the Lord, promising to raise her to know Jesus … A huge calling and a gigantic responsibility … but one we accept with joy and humility.
