Christmas is over {was it lovely?} and a new year is beginning – fresh starts and new chapters are a favorite of mine …
Why not start the new year with medical training for the family? Just a few months ago, we had a minor injury in this house – and although it was minor, we did have to call the ambulance. It took at least 20 minutes for the paramedics to arrive.
With that in mind and with all these precious little ones in the house, it was certainly time to have a refresher course. My last training was approximately 10 years ago. Today, a wonderful friend of the family and certified CPR instructor spent the morning at the house, along with his wife, who is a heart nurse, training the girls & I {and their godmother, Kate}.
{This is something I love about educating at home – the opportunity to learn at any age *with adults and young alike* and any time of the year … }

All the girls sat through the training – it’s amazing how little ones can pick up a variety of information just by listening and gathering with adults. The two oldest girls, ages 10 and 8, will received their CPR certificate in the mail. I was quite proud of them!

Thank you, Keith & Kim, for an amazing morning learning such a valuable, life saving skill! We are very grateful!
