940.
From the moment your child is born until they turn eighteen, that’s how many Saturdays you have to spend with your child.
Sounds like a long time?
It’s not.
I know it’s not because, that, my friends, is already half over for my time with oldest daughter … in this day and age where work, activities, and society continues to pull families – and mothers and children – apart, I believe it’s very, very crucial to be holding tight to short amount of time you have with your child or children. Spend more time together. Stay home more. Work less. Read more. Pray often. Listen to your child talk. Do crafts. Bake. Braid hair. Create cardboard masterpieces. Paint canvases. Walk through forests. Pop popcorn and do puzzles.
Choose to do more together and less apart.
[This weekend, we made maple syrup taffy at our friend’s house … freshly tapped from their maple trees … I love Old Country Farms!]
[I think Love’s making sure no one stole her portion …]
940 Saturdays.
That’s it … don’t waste them!
