A Day in which the Ordinary was Amazing.

It was an ordinary Saturday … a day of household chores, sorting of dresser drawers, several loads of laundry and floor washing … but, also, a day of sparkling jewels and simple moments of just plain life sweetened with thankfulness …

a morning where sisters found time to hug and help …

in which tiny crystals grew in our kitchen …  [ please click here for the recipe …]

an hour or two of creativity and chitter chatter over our experiment …

a day bursting with colour in the dead of winter …

swiftly made crochet chains …

… a day in which nothing amazing happened and yet the ordinary was still a perfect blessing …

a day in which the most precious jewels around my neck were the arms of my exuberant toddler …

A day in which the ordinary truly was amazing.

[After a failed attempt with a store-bought version that was given as a gift, the girls and I decided to grow ‘crystals’ the homemade way … this is not my recipe – I found it online here and have seen a few recipes floating around Pinterest. It was a fantastic super easy project to do with the girls – they absolutely loved it!]
