I love homemade things!
I love homemade gifts.
I love making homemade gifts with the girls.
I love giving homemade gifts!
This year, for Christmas, we’re giving homemade gifts to everyone, except the kids. I have a few ideas, but yes, this is one. {So if you are a relative, stop reading this post! Seriously. Don’t spoil the surprise! Log off NOW!}
Okay, family members??? Are you gone??
Just to be safe….
Hmmm ……..
It’s hopefully safe now. π If not, it’s your own fault for spoiling the surprise, MOM!
Okay.
I know you’ll love this DIY homemade gift idea … it’s SUPER AMAZINGLY cute and really, really easy to do!!
Homemade cake stands. Β I saw this on pinterest and loved the idea.
All you need is glue … (which I bought at the local craft store)…
… a few plates that you have collected (I bought mine at the local thrift store, antique store and one at the Dollar Store) …
a few candle stick holders … (purchased at the Salvation Army thrift store and some from the Dollar Store)…
Circle the candle stick holder with the glue …
press the plate down onto the glue … let it dry for 24 hours and voila!
A super gorgeous cake stand! You can use a teacup platter and make it a cupcake stand, as well. TOO cute!
You can customize according to the colour of what your friend or relative would really like or Β to the style of their home.
Simple! Lovely! Elegant! And VERY cost efficient. The glue cost me $7.75, most of the candle holders were .75 cents and the plates ranged from .50 cents to $2.00. Not bad!
Christmas doesn’t have to be overly expensive – you just need to get a little creative … π
