Mothering.

“Loving a baby is a circular business, a kind of feedback loop.
The more you give the more you get …
and the more you get the more you feel like giving.”

by Penelope Leach

It’s amazing how a heart grows with love for each child … as a mother, you may run out of energy … you may run out of time … but you don’t run out love. Instead,  your heart just expands and fills with more love for each child that is born … it’s wonderfully refreshing and fantastically simple … I take this role, this fabulously, tiring, but fulfilling role as a mother to my girls to heart … I pray over my girls and hope that I am doing them right in how we choose to raise them, I delight in them, knowing they are enjoying their childhood and building memories and friendships together to last a lifetime … I treasure these days oh. so. very much.

Enjoy your children, moms. Don’t rush the days of babies in your arms and toddlers clinging to your legs. They are a treasure in life and a blessing for you to cherish each day.

{I debated sharing the nursing shot on the blog, but it’s something also very near and dear to my heart. It’s always a little scary to be so open and personal on the blog, but hopefully this is not offensive, but instead looked upon as simple mothering.}

So grateful to my hubby who took these images for me …

Be encouraged. xo

BJ Kivell BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!
If only time wasn’t so fleeting! It is one of the things that really gets to me! How fast our babies grow! If only there was a way to really truly freeze these days…I would live them forever.
Loved this post and the images! Especially the nursing one! I really need to get my hubby to take one like that of my little guy and I. Nursing is such a beautiful thing, and like everything else, one day that special time will be over. What a treasure to have it documented this way. I read your blog often and I am a big fan of your work! I think we share a lot in common, your outlook on life, parenting (I am a mommy of 4 girls as well, and just had a baby boy 6 mos ago), homeschooling, etc. Thank you for being so personal on your blog, it is so refreshing to read 🙂
