Chris, you have a gorgeous little family! Enjoy these sleepless, wonderful days! 🙂

Okay, it’s been a while since we did a giveaway so I think it’s time for a new one! And this one is to celebrate boys to go along with Baby Hayden’s post.

I know we often have more “girlie” type giveaways going on here on the blog (sorry – must be the influence of my three girls and my pink-centered life) so it’s high time to have a giveaway for our cute, adorable boys!

(Please note, I’m not encouraging violence, but simply taking us back to a simpler time when kids would play outdoors in the woods and be adventorous and pretend to be pirates or Robin Hood … you know, the good ol’ days …)

Introducing …. Backwoods Toys

iusb_760x1006085763

I found them while looking for some cool gifts for my three nephews for Christmas – and this year, I’m really trying to give mostly handmade, homemade, unique, wooden gifts …. trying to avoid the plastics and trying to encourage the kids to be kids with such toys as ….

a wooden ping pong ball shooter … (oh, my dad would even love this!)

Shooter, Slingshot Combo

or a wooden slingshot  (for those boys in the country who have lots of room to roam safely!)…

Slingshot

or how about a marshmallow (or pom pom) shooter that can shoot marshmallows over 50 feet?!!? Seriously. How fun would that be for a little boy?! This listing even includes two bags of marshmallows!

2 Camo Marshmallow Shooters

These fun, unique toys are handmade in Mississippi and are sure to keep your little boys busy long past Christmas …

To enter this week’s giveaway, just leave a comment her on the post and we’ll draw a name by the end of the week.
Happy Monday!

Chris These look awesome Gillian, thank you! I know you hear this a lot but you’re so talented, which I guess is why I keep coming back to you year after year : )Wouldn’t have anyone else shoot my kids growing up!

November 24, 2009 - 12:41 am

Patty I love these wooden toys!! My son is ALL BOY and anything he plays with (or near) must be indestructable!

November 24, 2009 - 12:29 am

Chelsey Okay, definitely started laughing when I got to the marshmallow shooter … I don’t know any ‘boy’ (*ahem* grown-adult-man-in-his-20s-30s-and-40s) that wouldn’t love that – can you see the antics?! ha!

Beautiful newborn shots! But that family-sibling one steals the show. I hope that ends up in their home, just about life size – that is what kids should grow up with! 🙂

Ami This is too funny! It’s the first giveaway on your blog that my daughter would love. She’d probably describe the weapons as “totally sic”! I’m the mom in the dept stores who tries to sway her daughter to the pretty girl clothes & toys but accepting that the Spiderman boots and swords are more appealing to her!
These look like neat toys. Way better than the dollar store guns that Madster talks her grandma into buying!
And of course, what adorable photos on today’s post!
