{Joy}

Today was Monday. And while some people hate Mondays, I actually kinda like them. And this Monday, in particular, was filled with sweet, pure joy.

It was a fresh new start to a new week! I got my laundry piles tackled, ordered my groceries online (if you haven’t checked out this site yet, you have to try it out!!! It’s amazing being able to order groceries from the comfort of my own living room! Tell them Gigi sent you!), packaged up some orders with my fabulous assistant, Heather, shot some adorable mini sessions and spent the afternoon doing Christmas crafts with my little Ls. How could the day get any better?

Yes, Christmas. The house is already decorated for the holidays – not to rush the holiday but to drag it out a  little. I hate how fast the Good Things in life go by – like your baby’s first year, or Christmas morning, or the stage between baby talk and real talking with your toddler.

So when it comes to Christmas, I start early and enjoy EVERY. SINGLE. MINUTE. OF. THE. SEASON.
Crafts. Sparkles. Glue. Paint. Today, there were messes everywhere but when the girls decide to get busy with their creative side, we have some fantastic craft adventures – especially when they are Christmas related!

I will really miss the day Lyla loses her chubby cheeks.

Decorating is serious work for this girl.

In case anyone is wondering, I bought these wooden decorations at the local dollar store – throw on some paint and glitter and you will have one happy child and a cute decoration for your tree.

Lacey, the perfectionist.  She freaked out a little because she spilled all the glitter on this snowflake but we work it out. And now it’s the sparkliest of the bunch. 🙂 This snowflake is going to be mailed to someone very special in England.

We have a Creation Display clothesline in the dining room where we hang up the girls’ weekly creations. This week, I love it because it’s all Christmas decorations …

The day was filled with joy. And I am so thankful.

Mich What an amazingly beautiful day you had Gillian….I must admit I am quite jealous I couldn’t do the same thing. My day was not nearly as interesting sitting at work but I now have an idea of something to do with the A’s this week. You are definitely getting me into the Christmas spirit early this year and I love it!!!
