Much to my dismay, my husband is a junk collector.
Sadly, Hubalicious AND my father in law both have a bad habit of collecting junk and keeping it for years to come. When we lived in the country, I was embarrassed to look out my windows and see 400 feet of bright blue fencing rolled up in a big huge ball – something my Hubalicious collected and stored for the day we MIGHT open a pool. Well, it’s been five years and we still don’t have a pool and even if we did, there’s no way I’m putting up some nasty toilet-bowl-water-blue fencing. My husband also had about 21 rusty lawnmowers in our back “barn” … this summer, thankfully, he cleared SOME of them out. (He knew it was time or else he’d be sleeping with the lawnmowers at night.)
Anyway … junk lovin’ aside …
This time, my father in law’s passion for weird, rusty things paid off. When I was out at his cottage this summer, I noticed he had this beat up old horse watering trough. And I immediately knew what I could use it for ….. rounding up all the grandkids for a group photo! (Christmas present for gramma – CHECK! Canvas sale! Double check!)
And if they were bad and didn’t listen to me, I would just float them down the river … hah!
We love this river.
So many incredible memories will be had and are being created there.
I just got a ticket for a parcel in the mail … I think it’s the arrival of one of my storybooks I will now be offering to clients … yahoo! If it is, expect another post to show you some examples!
