Momma Bears to {three} …

Phew. My mornings are quite insane sometimes… here’s what I did so far:

wake up very tired after going to sleep at 1:40 a.m.  (why?!)

breakfast (not too bad – thank God for cereal!)

find dresses for the Ls to wear today

dress the Ls, minus Lacey who, obviously, dresses herself

make beds, minus Lacey, who has some wicked bedmaking skills herself (my momma would be proud)

threw in one load of laundry, which includes my white bedcover because Lyla spilled her juice all over it yesterday and Daisy, the dirty dog, decided to use it as her doormat

fold laundry

put laundry away in five different dressers

vacuum hair off the bathroom floor (how can I still be shedding? I haven’t been pregnant in 18 months?)

makeup application (Thank you, Lord!) and all sorts of loveliness for the day

three little girls’ heads of hair, tied up in piggy tails

assist in brushing their teeth

clean up toothpaste from the sink to the mirror to the counter – how did that happen?

vacuum the bathroom floor again – strange …. more hair ….

clean out closet (mine – it’s awful)

change my bedroom around – decided I didn’t like the large arm chair so made Hubalicious carry it down one floor to hide it in the basement until I like it again

prep dinner

clean up kitchen from breakfast mess

and now … Sweet Pea is sleeping, just down for her morning nap, so I am hoping to drink my (cold – soo sad!) coffee and blog a bit.  And it’s only 10:16 a.m.

So I did a session for an amazing family the other day … you know when you meet someone and you just KNOW you could be good friends? That’s how I have always felt with Colleen. We have hung out in the same groups around town but we have never had the chance to really get to know each other that well – but being another mom of three little munchkins, we have a lot of life stuff in common.  Like our mornings, no doubt.

So when Colleen booked her family session with me, I knew we would have fun!

What I didn’t know is it would take about nine re booking and cancelling due to weather (rainy season on steroids!) to actually find a good date for her session! However, we managed to get together and I have an absolute blast shooting their photos and getting to know Colleen and her adorable family better.

Umm, sorry to the kids … because at the end of the session, we stood around and talked and compared life stories for about 45 minutes … see, Colleen, we’re just going to have t hang out sometime!

Loved this one of her daughter …
