Fairy Music

Praise the LORD with harp:
sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.
Psalm 33:2

It’s amazing how little things can such thoughtful blessings!

For example … our 8 year old has talked about learning to play the harp, but we did not think we could find a teacher local to us. However, we knew our Lucia would would suit the harp — she is quiet, soft spoken, slow to react and not hurried in life by any means.

Then, one Sunday, at a local community event, we beheld a lovely harpist set to perform! When she was done performing, we made our way to her table to introduce ourselves and see if she would be interested in teaching lessons. Not only did she agree to teach, she added the special blessing of teaching in our home. {For any mom with multiple children, you will know and understand why this is such a blessing!} And as it turns out, she isĀ  nearly a neighbour to us – another exciting blessing!

Today, lessons began.

It was like hearing fairy music from the living room.

Beautiful and heavenly!

My eldest daughter also decided to take up the new lessons.

We will be saving up to purchase a used harp, but in the meantime, the teacher offered to bring her harp to lessons.

We are so grateful for a kind and patient teacher, one willing to come to us and train the girls. Just another one of God’s sweet blessings.
