In the middle of a busy, snowy afternoon {yes, it’s beginning to look at a lot like Christmas around here!}, the girls helped take a few photos of our sweet baby Lavender … one girl held up the comforter, the other made sure she didn’t fall over while she sat like a big bag of sweet baby-pink sugar – all smiles and baby screeching {that’s her new thing – it’s as if she wants to join in the noisy conversations of our busy home} …
Lavender is by far our chubbiest, rolly-polly baby – we love it! The girls have fun counting her rolls …. I’m sure Lavender will not appreciate such stories when she’s older, though. 😉
Oh, how delightful raising a family is! I say this because we would have stopped at three children as that felt normal … but the Lord changed our hearts and now we have six blessings from the Lord … we are so grateful … we know the world says half a dozen children is a lot – yes, I guess it is … a lot of tight-knit love and solid memories, and bedtime stories to be told to eager ears, flawed character to be fine tuned (myself included), healthy but humble food to be cooked, loads of homemade stockings to hang at Christmas, special birthday parties in every season … yes, buckets of fabulous love to go around …
