Daddy’s {Arms}

… Daddy will love you
and sing you to sleep
Love you forever-
A promise he’ll keep.

Rock-a-bye baby
In Daddy’s arms,
Daddy will hold you
Safe from all harm …

Vanda Hi, just visiting one of my favorite sites to visit.
Such a sweet picture. Treasure the moments, to father
and baby, it’s the sweetest treasures to have here on
earth…besides your wife of course. Baby pearls made
from mother and father pearls. Priceless….

{Sprouts} & Pumpkie Muffins.

Today, we baked. Big surprise, eh? I like to bake with the girls each Monday … so today …

baking-spring

We creamed. We mixed. We stirred.

pumpkie

We made “pumpkie muffins” … as Lyla calls them.

pumkie

And  … um … wow …… can I just say you HAVE to try out this recipe! To quote my husband:

“Best muffins IN. THE. WORLD.”

Recipe, please, you say? You can find it here at the Groceries to Go blog.

And I’m not just sayin’ they’re good … because as many of my friends would agree I STINK at making muffins. Half of the time, I bake them and turn around and toss them all in the same day. I don’t know what worked so well in this recipe, but seriously …. DELISH.

pumkiemuffin

Yes …. fresh coffee… fresh week … fresh muffin …

Life is good.

We also did a few Easter crafts …

An Easter egg tree.

… and then Wonder Great-Grandma showed up with seeds and potting soil! Yeah!

sprout9

It was messy but it was awesome … we planted zinnias, sunflowers, cucumbers & radishes … now, I know they may not all make it to the “REAL” spring, but it’s a learning activity for the girls.

Lucia made a huge mess and never actually planted anything. That’s okay. She’s two. I’ll forgive her.

Now … let the waiting begin … let’s see what sprouts over the next few weeks … we’ll keep you posted …

18 days till it’s officially spring!

March 6, 2010 - 11:56 pm

Laurie Clouthier We baked these Thursday night(after not eating for 3 days with a very sick stomach). The smell was amazing but I still couldn’t indulge. My husband said they are the best muffins he’s every tasted. Of course I will have to validate that myself once I’m feeling better. :0) Can’t wait.

March 3, 2010 - 11:00 am

March 2, 2010 - 2:29 pm

Jenn I just love reading about the adventures that take place in your house:) You all have so much fun!

March 2, 2010 - 12:03 pm

Sherri Smith The girls look like they really enjoyed the day. Lacey obviously loves to cook, and Lyla’s concentration on watering the plants is priceless. It doesn’t look like Lucia understood what was happening with the dirt, but I loved the pic of her putting the first egg ornament on the pussywillows. It’s all so very homey and obviously full of love. What emotions and stories your pictures tell.

March 2, 2010 - 11:08 am

Welcome to the world, little Elleora. You are so loved and blessed – born, as baby #4, into such an amazing family. And as always, for me, it’s such a pleasure to work with families and clients that are friends. Elleora’s family certainly does hold a special place in my heart!

Modern Day {Princess}

“In my dreams, I could be a Princess, and that’s what I was.

Like most little girls, I believed nothing less than a Prince could make my dreams come true.”

How is it at the tender age of just-turned-two they know what falling in love is?  Or at least, they think they do…

Every time I bring up the fact that we’ll be raising three teenage girls in the next 10 years, my husband nearly has a heart attack. All I know is …. I want those sweet hearts protected from as much hurt as possible… I’m currently reading How to Raise a Modern Day Princess … it’s been quite a read so far (when I actually get time – it’s taking me months!) and I’m really loving it!

I just wish they could stay little forever …
