Little Lambs

{I’m so sorry for my long absence.

My blog was disabled and it took quite a while for me –
who is very behind the times, technically speaking –
to figure out how to repair it.

Thank you for your patience and for reaching out to me!}

Here is a little dream come true …

baby lambs on the homestead. I have wanted sheep for a long time and somehow finally I convinced my husband to allow us to have sheep …
and after a long winter, we were blessed with sweet twin lambs on the coldest March morning.

They are both so snuggly and sweet – and have definitely stolen our hearts!

Little Lamb who made thee
         Dost thou know who made thee
Gave thee life & bid thee feed.
By the stream & o’er the mead;
Gave thee clothing of delight,
Softest clothing wooly bright;
Gave thee such a tender voice,
Making all the vales rejoice!
         Little Lamb who made thee
         Dost thou know who made thee…

Little Lamb I’ll tell thee,
         Little Lamb I’ll tell thee!
He is called by thy name,
For he calls himself a Lamb:
He is meek & he is mild,
He became a little child:
I a child & thou a lamb,
We are called by his name.
         Little Lamb God bless thee.
         Little Lamb God bless thee.

Gigi Rebecca, they are Babydoll Sheep. We will breed and sell – not meat, but wool, yes. 🙂 Thank you for your encouragement!

Rebecca The lambs are sooo cute! What breed are they? Is the plan for them for meat or wool or both? I’m so glad your blog is back!
